Alexandre and Vincent ALEXANIAN, sons of renowned Armenian jewellers, flee the shores of the Bosphorus and settle in Paris to create Alex Ematek, high-end house crafting like-real mother of pearl beads for haute couture and jewellery.
Getting closer to sand…
1974, Gérard ALEXANIAN, Vincent’s eldest son, sets up the family business in Chinon and then in Loudun in 1985 to increase production space, gain a full independence (from sand grains till final piece) and meet quality standards and tightest deadlines required by fashion creators.
EMATEK buyout
Arc International, worldwide leader of table arts, takes over EMATEK, aiming at launching a Jewellery division with a strong focus on glass and crystal.
Major turning point for EMATEK
Strategic refocus from Arc International on its core activity leads to closure of its Jewellery division. Vincent Marlière, young Director of Operations, inventive and passionate, takes up the challenge and buys it back to take command and impose its mark. EMATEK becomes an unmissable partner of fashion designers and greatest luxury names.
Investments and developments
In human resources as well as machinery and equipments, allowing to improve industrial process, quality standards and offering end-to-end solutions. Pneumatic press, high temperature kilns, surface treatment lab, UV and pad printing machines, Quality control machines. And more to come.
